Our Story

It is a common notion in the business and marketing space that 'customer is the king'. While we certainly agree to it wholeheartedly, we also take this concept up a notch and add another contender for the crown: the drivers. In 1994, our founder - being a delivery driver himself with humble roots, bursting with confidence and a burning yearning to make a real difference for people like himself - had a dream to devise a business model that would be equally rewarding for the customer and the service provider, aka our beloved and hardworking driver-partners who keep the mill running. Fast forward to today, with years of grind, persistence, sweat and blood involved, we finally have a robust system in place that benefits our customers and driver-partners equally - no strings attached!

We are proud to be one of the oldest delivery services operating in Pennsylvania. Our customers range from individuals looking for routine deliveries to business ventures and start-ups, who rely on us for practical and affordable fleet management solutions.

Driver FAQs

Answer

Why not! If you incur expenses on tolls and parking as a necessary part of a gig, we will fully reimburse you as long as you have all the necessary receipts with you that you can upload at the end of a gig.

Answer

We greatly value our driver-partners' commitment and consistency. To reward you for all your dedication and hard work, we have a weekly payment system in place where you are paid every Thursday. The payout covers your services for the entire week, and you will be able to see how much you have earned gig-wise in your History.
Disbursement and deposit typically take 1-3 business days, so don’t panic if you don’t see the funds in your account immediately.

Answer

How much you earn per gig depends on multiple factors, such as the distance, location, time of day, and order size (if it involves the delivery of goods). You will be able to see the price of each gig in advance, and then decide whether or not you want to accept it. For local gigs, you can typically expect to earn anywhere between $10-50, while long-distance gigs with more oversized items can have payouts as high as $800. At the end of the day, it all really depends on which gigs you are accepting and how much you are willing to travel.

Answer

You can accept multiple gigs as long as you are sure you can meet the deadlines for each delivery, and also take on taxi customers while on your way to deliver stuff. Our algorithm works in a way to match you with available gigs on the route you are already heading towards. It also suggests the best way to reach there, so you don't have to go much out of your way for a particular gig. All you need to do is manage it within the delivery timelines and be confident that you can handle the pick-up and drop-off at stipulated locations accordingly.

Answer

For delivery gigs, drivers get matched to customers' requests based on multiple factors, including:
• Driving experience with DropRyde
• Number of currently active gigs
• Distance from the pick-up location
This does not mean that new drivers don’t get ample opportunities; as a new driver, we will match you with relevant gigs as they come so you can build an impressive driving history with us!
